Tekka Market & Food Centre

Day 2 in Singapore and we aimed to do better with finding better food.

We headed to Little India and the Tekka Centre.

The briyani at Yakader Muslim Food looked good.

Mutton Dum Briyani--S$6 ($4.50). This was very tasty and not too greasy. It came with an egg and pappadam.

Prata Saga had a sign that he had taught at the CIA in St. Helena.

The chef was flipping prata.

Prata Egg With Onion--S$2 ($1.50). I would have liked it better without the raw onion but the sauce was good.

Sri Tiffan Stall specialized in Dosai.

Very crispy Dosai Masala--S$1.50 ($1.10).

Today, we followed our noses and our eyes and found better food.

The Tekka Centre also has a market and we found mangosteens. These were S$5 for 1 kg ($1.68 for a lb) and these were so good. I love the soft white rinds inside.
