Vikingertreff

Back in Balestrand, we picked up German sausages from Vikingertreff, Rick Steves had recommended this little restaurant and the sausages were authentic. We opted to take the sausages to go and eat on our hotel balcony. After all, we had paid extra for the balcony with a view and we wanted to take advantage of it. Plus, it was less expensive since there is a tax to sit and eat at a restaurant.

The sausage with bread on the left was NOK45. The same thing with sauerkraut on the right was NOK85. I couldn't believe sauerkraut is so expensive in Norway--$5 extra for it.

We picked up drinks at the grocery store--there are 2 in the center of Balestrand. This is "Russian juice." We're still not sure what it is but it likely is a mix of berries. It was tasty and not too sweet.
