You Need a Vignette Sticker to Drive the Toll Roads in Slovenia

After our tour of Trieste, which took less an hour, we drove into Slovenia. The border was only 10 minutes away. At the border, we purchased a Vignette sticker, which allowed us to drive on the toll roads in Slovenia. A 1-week sticker cost €15, a great bargain compared to the tolls in Italy. A 1-month sticker cost €30 and an annual sticker cost €110.

We purchased our sticker at the border. You can also purchase them from gas stations.

Peel off the sticker and stick it on your windshield. If you don't get the sticker, the fine is €300-800.
