Croda da Lago

Back to the Dolomites... we left Cortina and drove towards Canazei. We stopped to hike Croda da Lago. Near Ponte di Rocurto, 4.5 km from Pocol, you can park along the road or at a small carpark near n. 437 to access this trail. It's 7.7 miles long with 760 m altitude gain--4 1/2-5 hours.

Walk over the Rio Costeana stream via a log bridge at the beginning of the trail.

It's an easy walk to the Lago Federa,

and the Rifugio Croda da Lago. You can get a meal here or spend the night.
