Hotel Col di Lana

In Canazei, our home base was the Hotel Col di Lana. It was mid September but already near the end of the summer season. The town basically closes for a couple months and re-opens for ski season.

Hotel Col di Lana--€88/night, including breakfast, free wifi and free parking.

The hotel had a lot of wood trimming and felt like a ski resort.

The bathrooms were modern.

There wasn't a lot of choices when it came to dinner. We decided to have dinner at our hotel. The offering was a set menu for €28.60. We started with a salad buffet.

2nd course was marinated salmon (lox).

You had a choice for the 3rd course. You could choose Hemp Noodles with Wild Mushrooms or

Semolina Dumplings in Soup--basically matzo ball soup.

4th course was Young Rooster Breast with Beetroots and Basmati Rice.

Dessert was lemon cake.

Breakfast the next morning was prosciutto, cold cuts, cheese and rolls. There was also yogurt and fruit but no hot items.
