The Fig Cafe

Now that Flavor Bistro has closed, we have to find new restaurants to fill its place. This week we went to the Fig Cafe in Glen Ellen.

They have a 3-course plat du jour for $29. This week, the offerings were:

Shaved Brussel Sprouts with Dried Cranberries and Pine Nuts in Black Pepper Vinaigrette--this was delicious.

Mushroom Risotto

Pumpkin Cheesecake

Steak & Frites with Blue Cheese Butter and Seasonal Vegetables--$24. The fries were crispy, just the way they should be and the steak was grilled perfectly. 

There is no corkage. We brought a bottle of Paul Hobbs Pinot Noir. This was good but not sure it was worth the $90 retail.
