Las Mamparas

I had read on TripAdvisor that Las Mamparas had good paella. It's located at Calle 37 (Paseo del Prado) between Avenida 40 & 42, a 15-minute walk from our hostal. Arrive before 7 pm or wait in line.

Jugo--1 CUC & Sangria--2 CUCs. I loved the sangria--fruity and refreshing.

Complimentary bread with a sauce that tasted like cocktail sauce.

Sopa Pollo (chicken soup)--0.70 CUC.

Paella las Mamparas--5 CUCs. This was a huge portion and delicious.

Salteado de Cerdo (pork cooked with vegetables)--5 CUCs

Tostones de Platano (fried plantains)--1 CUC. This was okay. I'm not a big fan of fried plantains and this didn't sway me.

Flan--1 CUC. Thick & creamy.
