Vintgar Gorge

Vintgar Gorge is 2 1/2 miles north of Lake Bled. The mile-long gorge was formed by the river Radovna.

There is free parking at the gorge entrance. After parking, walk along a dirt road to reach the ticket booth. There is a small gift shop there. Entrance to the gorge costs €4/person.

Boardwalks and bridges follow the river. Allow 1-2 hours for the easy walk through the gorge.

The water is so clear. You can see all the way to the bottom of the river.

At the end of the walk, there is a footbridge over a waterfall. It's next to a snack stand. You can return the way you came or hike back to Bled. It takes a little over an hour, with a significant uphill climb for 25 minutes.
