Cuisery to Louhans

From  Cuisery, we traveled along the River Seille to our final destination, Louhans.

Wildlife along the banks of the river.

Manual lock at Loisy, a change of 1.3 m.

Bresse chicken roaming free

Lock at Branges--the last lock before Louhans.

Arriving in Louhans--25 km and 3 1/2 hours from Cuisery. There was no mooring fee in Louhans.

Vine-covered building near the marina.

We walked across the bridge from the marina to reach the old town.

Louhans is known as an arcaded town. There was 1 main street with shops under arcades.

The town was deserted so we weren't surprised that most of the restaurants in town were closed. Market day is on Mondays and it's a livestock market.
